"Run Forrest Run"
Id lived for 18 years and i wonder how did i ever miss such a good movie like Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump is the name of the movie as well as the name of the main character, Portrayed by Tom Hanks. The story revolves his life journey with conjunctions with the American post world war II history, from the assasination of JFK, liberation of an all white college, and also Bubba Gump.
The story is very inspiring as it shows Little Forrest Gump, with an IQ of 85 and a crooked spine and only known his mother through out his life, overcoming difficulties and actually making it big. Also his undying love for Jenny (which eventually came true, for a short while) is very heart wrenching.
This story also depicts american culture and history very well. For someone who is going to the States in a few months this should come in handy
A scene i like inthis movie is when he went into the battle field, althougj an airstrike has been called, to search for his good friemd Bubba. He went to search for Bubba but everytime he found someone else wounded, Bubba was the last one extracted. Already heavily wounded, Bubba's last words were "i want to go home". Home is where the heart is, no matter how strong, mad, you are. That ticks my heart.
All in all, this movie is truely inspiring saying that "You can be anything you want". Who wouldve thought the time he sent playing pingpong would made him the american ping pong team. Who wouldve thought when he ran everytime chased by bullies would make him the star football player he been or the inspiring running guru of inspiration.
